Each Thursday morning we provide grocery bags of food free of charge to anyone in need. A typical week sees the distribution of approximately 1000 bags, which translates to providing food to more than 3000 people each week. Volunteer to HelpThere is no paid staff at Food for Santa Fe. All work is accomplished by volunteers. These include a number of wonderful people who purchase the food, arrange for its delivery, unpack the food from pallets, put individual items in grocery bags, and hand out the grocery bags to individuals on Thursday mornings. We are always looking for volunteers. Please join us in our efforts to see that no one in the Santa Fe area goes hungry: call Bonnie Leon, 466-3514 or Rev. Wayne Hammar, 986-6440. How to Make a DonationAll donations are tax deductible. To make contributions to Food for Santa Fe's operating fund, please send your donation directly to:
Please make your check out to "Food for Santa Fe" and make a notation on it that it is for the "Operating Fund". We will send you a receipt for use in claiming a tax deduction. Alternately, make a donation online on the Santa Fe Community Foundation's giving form (must be $100 or more to donate via the online form). Be sure to put "Food for Santa Fe" in the text box that appears after you select "Other" for "Designation."
